Patrick ‘Pat’ Shaw, CEO
Pat is the current Chief Executive Officer at Grafton City Hospital. He grew up in Grafton West Virginia and was a 1986 graduate of Grafton High School. Pat began his career at GCH working part time in the Wellness Center around 1991. He became the Wellness Center Manager in 1992. Between 1994 and 2005 he was the Director of Support Services (I.T., Payroll, H.R., Benefits, and Non-revenue producing departments). In 2005, Pat became the Chief Operating Officer. Pat assumed his present office as Chief Executive Officer in 2011.
Regina Pickens, CFO
Regina joined Grafton City Hospital in 2015. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a Masters in Public Administration from WVU, a Bachelor of Science from Fairmont State College in Accounting and Marketing & Management. Regina currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for the financial management of the hospital. Regina brings almost 20 years experience to the facility in both healthcare and the legal services industry. She is currently a member of the West Virginia Society of CPA’s and the AICPA.
Tammy Barcus, Director of Quality and patient Safety
Tammy Barcus is the Director of Quality and Patient Safety at Grafton City Hospital and has been since 2006. In her current position she oversees quality improvement, risk management, corporate compliance, staff education and worker’s compensation. In addition to her extensive background in these areas, she also has a strong clinical background. She began her career at Grafton City Hospital as a LPN on the LTC Care in 1994 after graduating from the Practical Nursing Program at Monongalia County Vo-Tech Center. She received her BSN from Alderson Broaddus University, Magna Cum Laude in 2005. In her years of service at Grafton City Hospital, Tammy has worked in most of the nursing areas; first as a LPN, then as a RN, and also as the Resident Assessment Coordinator – Credentialed (RAC-C).
Suncerae ‘Sammi’ Neason, LTC Administrator
Sammi was born and raised in West Virginia and has attended college at Fairmont State University and the University of Phoenix. Sammi has earned a Masters of Health Administration and is NHA Board certified. She began working as a nursing assistant in the early 1980’s and came to Grafton City Hospital as a CAN in 1990. She continued college while a storeroom clerk and became the manager of the Materials Management department in 1997. Sammi became LTC Administrator in 2015.
Violet Shaw, Director of Nursing
Violet is a Grafton native and joined Grafton City Hospital in 1989. Violet attended Fairmont State College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Psychology (1984), Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education (1988), and an Associate Degree in Nursing (1994). Violet has been the past TVTCC Nurse Manager and is currently the Director of Acute Care Nursing. Her past and current certifications and affiliations include: BLS – Instructor Trainer, ACLS – Instructor Trainer, PALS – Instructor Trainer, BTLS – Instructor Trainer, EMT – Basic, EMSA – RN, Certified Emergency Nurse, CATN - Certified, TNCC –Instructor, ENPC – Certified. Violet also holds positions such as: Advisory Representative for CORE, Advisory Board – WV Junior College LPN Program, Citizens Advisory Board – Pruntytown Correctional Center, Advisory Board – Fairmont State University RN Program, Advisory Council – Health Occupations Class at Grafton High School, State Trauma Advisory Council, and the Ambulance Authority Advisor Board.
