2016 CHNA Implementation Plan

    Message from the CEO…..

Thank you for visiting our new and updated website. Please check back often, as we will be taking a much more proactive approach to utilize this technology to share news about our community hospital.

I have been blessed to be able to work in the town I grew up in, with all of my post-collegiate career being here at Grafton City Hospital. With that being said, I can’t think of a time in my 20 plus years in healthcare administration / management where we are all witnessing such a rapid and widespread change in the healthcare industry.

For those of you that utilize our services here, I extend my most genuine appreciation. For those who have sought services elsewhere for whatever reason, I extend an invitation to you to become acquainted with our staff and our wide array of services. I have had the pleasure of speaking at various civic and community organizations and I welcome those opportunities, but when I am running through a list of all the things we do here, I’ll always get a response from someone in the audience similar to “I had no idea you did that there.”

We don’t try to be “all things to all people”, but we pride ourselves on being able to provide quality, compassionate healthcare close to home. We offer many of the same services with the exact same equipment as larger facilities. We have a Toshiba 32 Slice “CAT” Scanner, a Hologic Digital Mammography machine, MRI and Nuclear Medicine services 2 days per week, a Dexascan machine to measure bone density, several on-site Specialty Clinics such as Cardiology and Nephrology with WVU providers, Orthopedics with a UHC provider, as well as Podiatry, General Surgery, Neurology, Pulmonology, and Internal Medicine. Additionally, we’ve added some new providers (Family Practice and Emergency Room) over the past 12 months and will be adding another in July of 2016.

We have 25 Acute Care beds for Inpatient and Swing/Skilled care, 76 Nursing Home beds, 24/7/365 Emergency Room services, a Rural Health Clinic on-site, as well as one located in Flemington, Ultrasound services, General X-Ray, a full complement of Laboratory Services, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Lab, Inpatient and Outpatient Physical Therapy, Wellness Center, Behavioral Medicine Services with both Group and Individual counseling, Stress Testing, and a host of other services too numerous to list.

The hospital is very fortunate to have a strong, collaborative working relationship with all the other healthcare providers in our community, but we still consider Grafton City Hospital to be the cornerstone of healthcare in our community and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. We do our very best to provide the residents of Grafton and its surrounding communities, as well as all of Taylor County, high quality and affordable healthcare. We’ve been doing it for over 100 years and we still want to earn your trust, so if you haven’t stopped by for a while, I invite you to do so.
